Lots of events last week with a lot more on the way! We’ve got the Quebec city open, Hammer Down Breast Cancer, and more. Most notably however, Huzzah Hobbies had an RTT, at which I was in attendance.
Friend of Goonhammer, Jeremy Atkinson of Stat Check, took the gold with his Votann, packing 6 Sagitaurs and a bunch of Hearthkyn Warriors. Most importantly he beat Aeldari in the last round, a feat that I believe should earn anyone a comically large stack of money.
Zach Point won the event with his Aeldari, using two bricks of wraithguard and the Yncarne to beat his opponents over the head with. I was also there and got… 13th. But! I won best painted which was pretty cool.
Zach Point (Victory Gamers) - Aeldari
Joshua Campbel (Terran Battle Friends) - Necrons
Andrew Nguyen (Plastic Crack Anonymous (and close friend of mine)) - Tau Empire
Congrats to Niel Burns-Morales for winning this event with their Orks. Unfortunately he didn’t submit a list so I’m gonna make up one for him. I’m gonna say he used 2 Stompas and Gorkanaught. Very cool stuff!
Neil Burns-Morales - Orks
Matthew O’Hara (Death or Glory) - Adepta Sororitas
Congrats to Derek Apsche on his win this past weekend with Chaos Space Marines. The list included a huge mob of cultists of the accursed and regular variety, backed up by Abbadon and some daemon support. Derek is currently #2 in the standings in the UTC.
Derek Apsche (Cuddle Buddies) - Chaos Space Marines
Tyler Principio on the other hand took a much different tact. His list features absolutely no forgefiends or obliterators and instead relies on two units of lascannon havocs for his anti tank. Congrats Tyler!
Tyler Principio (Bottom Table Bullies) - Chaos Space Marines
Daniel Moscato (Iron Inquisitors) - Chaos Daemons
Frank Smith (Legion of Extraordinary Gentlemen) - Aeldari
For our only AoS event of the weekend, Jeremy Hauck won first with his Sons of Behemat, using the new King Brodd’s Stomp. The win marks Jeremy's second UTC event score for Age of Sigmar.
Jeremy Hauck (Team Big Chungus) - Sons of Behemat
David Klamm (Team Big Chungus) - Slaves to Darkness
Mike Atkins (Team Big Chungus) - Maggotkin of Nurgle
