Welcome back to another UTC event recap. We have just a few events to talk about this week, which is good because I have some Dragons Dogma to get back to.
First up we have an RTT out of Georgia. The event was won by “Spawnicus Anderson” with a monolith-less Hypercrypt list. Instead the list doubles down on the scoring by adding two units of Deathmarks and some Immortals.
Spawnicus Anderson (Interspecies Reviewers) - Necrons
Next up is a doubles event in Winnipeg. The winning team was the Tyskie Brothers running a Space Marines x Orks list. The space marine side consisted of standard Ironstorm staples while the Orks provided 30 Boyz, Flash Gitz and some trucks to hang out in. Seems like a list that provides some withering backline shooting while applying significant early pressure from the Orks.
Tyskie Brothers - Space Marines x Orks
Meta Chasers - Death Guard x Aeldari
Tactical Jeanius - Space Marines x Sisters of Battle
The Deck Box Masters Regional Tournament March 23rd
Closing us out is another 40k RTT out of Halifax. The winning list was Matt Reeson’s Necrons, featuring a relatively standard Canoptek Court list with a few interesting additions. For one it uses a unit of Canoptek Acanthrites, which I think we would see a lot more of if they weren't a FW model, and a Reanimator which I haven't seen in a list since its nerf.
Matt Reeson (Halifax Privateers) - Necrons
Keenan Elliot (Halifax Privateers) - Grey Knights
Michael Hughes (Searching For a Team) - Adeptus Custodes
