The Unified Tournament Circuit is a regional circuit for Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar which covers the area between Virginia and Newfoundland. In case you missed our announcement, you can find it here.
Well folks this is it, the last week of our first UTC season. The season itself ended with a bang with 7 events to go through, two of which being the Everwinter events. I even went to an event this past weekend and the results there will shock you!
Let's just get right to it. I went to this event and wouldn’t you know it I tied for first! That's right folks, ol’ “bad at warhammer' Norman finally did good enough at an event he can say he won it, even with an asterisk. To all the people who didn’t believe in me I say: I get it, that was probably the safe bet. To my friends, you guys should know I’m gonna be insufferable for the rest of time.
As for the lists, I took 12 War Dogs: 5 Brigands, 6 Karnivores, 1 Stalker, and some daemonic allies in the form of Nurglings and Syll’eske. I basically took deploy homers and engage every game except the last one where I took cleanse instead. I was very brave the whole time and only cried a little when I paired into triple nightspinners. As for my parallel and the only other person I respect right now, Edgar Hernandez took a Daemons list to victory against back to back space marines with a big ol monster mash of greater daemons.
Edgar Hernandez (Bottom Table Bullies) - Chaos Daemons
Out of 110 players Anthony Trentanelli took home the gold with his Skaven. The list featured a whole mess of Grey Seers and Plague monks as well as a complement of clan rats to screen and hold objectives. Congrats Anthony!
Anthony Trentanelli (Tough Crowd) - Skaven
Anthony Lawrence (Wicked Dicey) - Hedonites of Slaanesh
On the other end of the Everwinter event, Sean Nayden took first with his Orks. The list is a herohammer build with various war bosses and none other than Mr. Thrakka himself with some bikers and gretchin for utility.
Back to AoS with an event over at Game Kastle. This one was won by Frank Sylvester taking a pretty bog standard Kharadron Overlords list, using hyper effective shooting to mow down the opposition. Congrats Frank!.
Frank Sylvester (Team Big Chungus) - Kharadron Overlords
Ping ponging back over to 40k we’ve got the last Fabricator’s Forge event of the season. Coming in first is Dan Paul running Aeldari. Nothing too shocking here for those paying attention outside the exclusion of nightspinners in favor of fire prisms. Elves continue to be strong in all facets.
Dan Paul - Aeldari
Jeremy HauckNathan Mckenney (Battlegrounds Brawlers) - T’au Empire
Over in Canada François Lalonde won this event with World Eaters. The list is more or less what you’d expect, featuring two units of Berzerkers in Rhinos, a smattering of various Eightbounds and the usual character suite.
François Lalonde - World Eaters
Jeremy Atkinson (Stat Check) - Sisters of Battle
Dominique Carette (Northern Defenders) - Black Templars
Last but not least we have one more 40k RTT. Todd Lanser won the event with his Leagues of Votann, with a list featuring 4 Sagitaurs, 2 bricks of Hearthguard, and a whole mess of Thunderkyn.
Todd Lanser - Votann
Connor Mclean (Sector Cville) - Astra Millistarum
Alfonso Velasquez - Dark Angels
Upcoming Events
And that's a wrap for the season folks! Coming up we have the invitationals for the finale of both the AoS and 40k UTC circuits. Don’t forget there's also a 40k open and a KT event to play in if you wanna come by and see the action first hand. I’ll also be there getting my butt kicked in the open event so come by and say hey!
