Merry Christmas from Goonhammer!

Hello to all our readers, and Merry Christmas! It's an unusual holiday season in many parts of the world, and we hope that wherever you are you're having a great day, and that your friends and family have added a truly horrifying amount to your backlog of unfinished miniatures.

Despite everything that's made 2020, well, 2020, we've had a fantastic year here at Goonhammer, talking about the games we love in greater breadth and depth than ever before, and with more of you checking in to the site than we ever thought possible. It may not have been quite what we imagined when we were looking forward at this time last year, but we hope that your hobby has been able to help you with the tough times as much as it has helped us.

As we did last year, we're going to take a small break from here until the new year, with fewer of the regular columns and articles you'd normally expect to see. Instead we'll have a range of lighter articles like hobby retrospectives from some of our contributors (the first of which you may have already seen), before returning to our normal schedule in January.

With that in mind, I would like to say thank you to everyone who makes Goonhammer what it is. First and foremost that means our talented contributors, who pour hundreds and thousands of words and pictures onto the Internet for you all to enjoy. Backing them up are all of my fellow members of the core team who not only keep pushing us to do better and work on exciting new projects but also put in the time to do all the boring, unglamorous jobs like "make sure the website doesn't fall over" and "check anyone actually scheduled an article today."

Of course it doesn't matter how much we write if nobody is reading it - so thank you also to all of our loyal readers, who make this all so enjoyable. We're glad that we can share this with all of you. In particular, thank you to everyone who supports us on Patreon; we will never run ads and never place "monetisation" over delivering great content, so your help is invaluable in enabling us to keep doing what we love. Once again, Merry Christmas to you all!
