Marvel Crisis Protocol Tactics: Ms Marvel Tactics

by A True Poster | Jan 29 2026

Looking for a hero who punches above her weight and brings an impressive amount of plastic to the board? Then it’s time to embiggen your roster with Ms. Marvel.

Today we’re stretching into what Ms. Marvel brings to Marvel Crisis Protocol, breaking down how her overall kit, and surprising damage output make her a standout pick for players who like staying flexible while still throwing meaningful punches.

Normal Form

A defence stat line of 3/4/3 and 5 health leaves much to be desired, but this version of Kamala being Inhuman means she comes with an Innate re-roll, making her effectively 4/5/4, which is more acceptable.

Morpho-Punch is cool, especially when paired with a killy character next to her on deployment. Ms. Marvel could feasibly walk forward, hit the Wild Push trigger and pull her poor target closer to her for the rest of her allies to beat up.

Take Out The Trash is great for displacing characters. Having a Range of 3 to grab them from makes this a lot more flexible. Just be sure to use it on characters that have already activated that turn - or to throw a target out of range for their attacks so that you can limit their scoring and/or damage potential.

Embiggen is where the fun begins. Let’s move onto that!

Embiggened Form

The Transform rule lets you now place Kalama’s large (65mm) base within Range 1 of her normal form, so this also doubles up as a very useful movement trick. Polymorph comes in handy here as you can now interact from Range 2, so not much can escape Kamala’s clutches when she has the right amount of power.

High Five is a pretty standard attack, but Inhuman brings it up to an effectively 6 dice Builder attack. Which is neat.

Now Morphogenetics is where things really start to feel great. Embiggened Kamala is a Size 4 character, meaning she is now bigger than most other characters in the game - so she gets an additional 2 re-rolls when attacking them. That brings High Five up to effectively 8 dice, which is huge! Obviously you’re praying to not roll Skulls here, but it allows Kamala to hit way above her pay grade (let’s remind ourselves - she is a 3 threat!).

Annoyingly, Kamala can’t usually stay in Embiggened form as she must transform back at the end of her activation. Making that really cool model one of the most rarely used pieces of plastic in the game. But still, while she’s big, she’s great!

Hey look! We found a way to use that Embiggened model for more than a few seconds!

We’ve already covered how Transform doubles up as movement tech for Ms. Marvel. Well now you can place the new model within THREE?! That’s huge!

What makes it even better is that you can also take Miles Morales with you! That’s a huge amount of movement for both models.

And now we have a new, even punchier Miles Morales available in the form of Ultimate Spider-Man. Bonus points if you play this under the new and improved Dormammu too! Bunch of attacks from 2 unsuspecting 3 threats on a poor target sat on the midline. Pretty cool!

More team-up cards! Yay!

This box wouldn’t be complete without a Captain Marvel team-up, let’s face it. Unfortunately this doesn’t work for all versions of Captain Marvel, only the original core box one. But let’s get into it.

The Danvers Special effect is…fine. It lets you displace 2 characters where you would normally displace 1, but Ms. Marvel is still paying 3 power for it so it’s not much different from what she can usually just do on her own. Probably not worth the additional cost of a Team Tactics Card slot.

The Binary Form effect however is very cool. That’s a sizeless, as many characters as you can measure from (on the Large base too) off a point, basically guaranteeing you score that Secure, providing you use this card late in the round.

The Rocket Punch effect is whatever. I don’t know if you’re ever really desperate enough to get Ms. Marvel in range of anyone. Maybe you can get her back on a point she’s been displaced from, that’s fine.

Overall, I think you take this on a Secure like Wedding Party or Mayor Fisk where they each score you 2 VPs if you’re Securing them during the Cleanup Phase. That makes this card very potent as you can hold it until everyone has activated - and then Push literally everyone off the point and score it for yourself. Anything outside of that is probably not really worth pursuing.

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re playing Ms. Marvel in her homes of Avengers or Inhumans or splashing her in another affiliation - I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at her output for a 3 threat.

You may be disappointed at how little you see her Embiggened form on the table after you’ve no doubt nailed the paint job for it…but overall she’s a pretty cool and thematic character. Just remember to wear some good Marvel superhero merch when you play her…it’s what Kamala would do.
