Looking to team up with two web headed operatives who hit hard and move fast? Then let me introduce you to Agent Venom & Spider-Woman!
Today we’re swinging into this Webs box to see what they bring to the table and why this box might be just what you need to shake up your roster.

Agent Venom
Flash Thompson (yes really…that Flash Thompson) comes with a tiny elephant in the room that I want to cover from the jump: 2 energy defence. At first glance, this feels bad - but when you take his overall playstyle into account, it’s actually fine. With Symbiote Web Swing and All-Star Quarterback, Agent Venom can easily avoid any scary energy attackers on the enemy team by swinging in, doing this thing and then displacing them off to a safer distance.
The real scary part of this card whenever I’ve played opposite Agent Venom has got to be Symbiote Special Forces. Being able to place himself into the right spot for a perfect beam (which no longer hurts allies as of Ministravaganza 2025 remember!) with Symbiote Web Swing and getting a handful of Lashing Tendrils triggers can be honestly devastating - all while the defending characters are unable to modify their defence dice thanks to Symbiotic Instincts.
Project Rebirth makes this character essentially immune to Stagger (and anything else he happens to gain). 1 power for this makes it a no brainer. Great ability.
Symbiotic Instincts is what makes Agent Venom feel like the tech piece that he is. This ability can be extremely relevant into a lot of the meta right now. Servants Of The Apocalypse rely on their leadership re-rolls. Inhumans are re-rolling on every defence roll they make. Web Warriors just got a resurgence with a bunch of new models and a new leadership. Symbiotic Instincts turns a lot of that potency off when Agent Venom pops in to dish out the pain.
Overall, this character is fantastic for your roster so that you have an answer to some of the specific matchups that can cause headaches. But he may not be an every game model.

Spider-Woman
You may already be aware that Miles Morales (3 threat) is one of the best characters in the game. Well, I’m here to tell you that Spider-Woman here is the 4 threat version of him.
Now…part of Miles Morales’s potency does come from the fact that he’s a 3 threat, you’ve got me there. But if you’re open to paying 1 threat more, let’s talk about how their play patterns are similar.
Deploying Spider-Woman in the middle of the map allows her to move twice to an opponent's home Extract and pick it up Round 1. She’ll then have Stealth and Martial Artist to keep her alive so she can run away with it in Round 2. BUT, what if she Dazes? Well then she wakes up in Round 2 with enough power for Intoxicating Blast to steal it back, move Long away and then I Don’t Fly I Glide to really put the distance between her and your opponent. Good luck getting it back off her now she’s miles away!
You can then chill at the back of the board in relative safety and look out for a mid-late game Interrogate. While the rest of your team are going around beating up bad guys, Spider-Woman can be preparing to pounce and land next to a Dazed character ready to score a bonus VP in the Cleanup Phase. Brutal!
The condition game Jessica brings with Bio-Electric Strike and Intoxicating Blast is cute, but I don’t think it comes up enough to really be worth covering here. Shock and Stun are great conditions to give out, especially if you’re playing a game of keep-away-and-score-VPs, but it’s the Poison trigger you’re looking for to get the Sensory Overload trigger off. So yeah, niche; not as potent as double moving and scoring points with her.
Team Tactics Cards

The new Web Warriors leadership is very interesting for Agent Venom. Every time he rolls a skull on an attack, he gets to place. Now consider that with a BEAM attack like Symbiote Special Forces. That is potentially a lot of free places, each one allowing him to line models up for the Lashing Tendrils trigger. It also means he could wake up from Dazing, beam a bunch of dudes, place away from them a couple of times and then Symbiote Web Swing back to safety. Lots of flexibility!

This card is super weird and serves as an interesting puzzle for both you and your opponent. All of the potential uses span further than this article can cover - but I am going to present one really cool use case.
Pay to flips! I once had an opponent play this card and then activate Spider-Woman first with a couple of Bio-Electric Strikes to generate power. I then had no choice but to activate the targeted character at some point that round, meaning Spider-Woman could then activate both first AND last in a round. She then used her bonus activation to run around flipping Secures after everyone had gone - flipping the score massively.
So there’s a huge ceiling to this card if you’re willing to experiment with it.

Spider-Woman is a no-brainer for a Miles Morales (3 threat) led Web Warriors roster. The only downside is that she is a 4 threat surrounded by the best 3 threats in the game. But if you find yourself wanting a 4 threat in the squad, you can’t go wrong with VP scoring king Spider-Woman.
Agent Venom on the other hand isn’t the most scoring focused model.

Web of the Spider-Verse
As we mentioned earlier, Web Of The Spider-Verse is a great leadership for Agent Venom. He’s already a mover & attacker, so that leadership gives him potential for a lot more of that. Rolling the odd Skull on defence & dodge rolls also allows him to place himself into Cover or out-of-range for a follow up attack, making his 2 Energy defence less of a liability.
Spider-Woman doesn’t quite fit into the playstyle of this leadership if you ask me. She doesn’t want to be making many attacks - and certainly doesn’t want to be taking many attacks.

Guardians of the Galaxy
It turns out Agent Venom loves hanging out with this gang of space misfits. It’s a good home for him! They love a damage dealer and Guardians Of The Galaxy models tend to lack mobility in favour of just standing still and blasting. Agent Venom helps fix that.

He also brings this card! It’s…mad. So here’s a quick rundown of each effect.
Gamora: Gamora doesn’t get played much unfortunately (perhaps wrongfully so?). Extra movement isn’t something that Agent Venom really needs. Though this is cute because you can obviously be thrown into range of another Guardian to then get their trigger off this card.
Groot: You’re likely to play him in a Guardians Of The Galaxy roster, so there’s a good chance he’s around and healing 3 damage is amazing. Good effect.
Star-Lord: You’re very likely to be playing him every game. Full-Auto is a good attack and with this card you’re getting it for 1 less power than it usually costs. Good effect.
Rocker Raccoon: Strong chance you’re definitely playing this guy too. Free attack plus a short move? Yes please. Good effect.
Drax: You’re not taking Drax. Ignore this part.
Final Thoughts
Whether it’s mobile attrition you’re looking for - or some extremely reliable point scoring, you can’t go wrong with this box!
I didn’t mention that Spider-Woman is also affiliated to Hydra, A-Force and Avengers. All extremely good homes for her. They’re also bothaffiliated to S.H.I.E.L.D, which is an affiliation full of tools that benefit characters like this. That’s a ton of value and replay-ability from a single box.
