Hey everybody, today I have a Star Wars themed How to Paint Everything for you! This time I'll be going over how I painted the Outer Rim Outpost terrain pack, for the Star Wars Shatterpoint Miniatures Game. This pack features an outpost building, a pile of cargo boxes and a bogwing critter.
I'll be using sponging techniques on the building to give it some texture and a whole load of drybrushing. I'll split each piece into it's own section, starting with the Outpost building itself.
So let's get started, you'll find paint charts below listing each color and I'll go over it all as well.

Painting the Outpost
Basecoat - Citadel Zandri Dust Spray Primer
Sponge - Citadel Morghast Bone
Sponge - Citadel Ushabti Bone
Sponge - Citadel Screaming Skull
Recess Wash - Citadel Contrast Skeleton Horde
Drybrush - Citadel Screaming Skull
Drybrush - AK Interactive Ivory
The Outpost is mostly sandstone colored, so to make it easy on myself I started with a basecoat of Zandri Dust spray primer. Using a sponge, I applied Morghast Bone, Ushabti Bone and Screaming Skull to the surface. Once I was happy with the coverage, I did recess washes and a surface wash of the sides, feathering out the paint as I went up. Once the Contrast paint was dry, I drybrushed the building with Screaming Skull and Ivory.
Metals
Basecoat - Citadel Chaos Black Spray Primer
Drybrush - Citadel Metallic Iron Warriors
Drybrush - Citadel Metallic Stormhost Silver
The gun emplacement and antennae were given a Chaos Black spray primer basecoat. They were then drybrushed Iron Warriors and Stormhost Silver.
Concrete
Basecoat - Citadel Stormvermin Fur
Stipple - Citadel Adminstratum Grey
Stipple - Citadel Ulthuan Grey
Wash - Citadel Nuln Oil
The lower concrete rim of the building was painted similarly to how I paint the bases of my Marvel Crisis Protocol miniatures. I start by applying Stormvermin Fur to the areas that I want to be concrete. I then stipple the surface with Administratum Grey and Ulthuan Grey. Finally, the entire surface is given a wash of Nuln Oil to tie it all together.
Windows
Basecoat - Vallejo Model Color Black
Nothing fancy here, just paint the window holes Black.
Flood Lights
Basecoat - AK Interactive Ivory
Wash - Citadel Contrast Pylar Glacier
The flood lights were painted Ivory and then given a wash of Pylar Glacier.

Painting the Cargo
Basecoat - Citadel Macragge Blue Spray Primer
Recess Wash - Citadel Contrast Black Templar
Drybrush - Altdorf Guard Blue
Drybrush - Calgar Blue
The cargo boxes were primed Macragge Blue. I then used Black Templar and did a recess wash in all of the panel lines some shadows where the tarp lies. Once the wash was dry, I drybrushed them Altdorf Guard Blue and Calgar Blue.
Tarp
Basecoat - Vallejo Model Color US Dark Green
Shadows - Vallejo Model Color US Dark Green: Citadel Shade Carroburg Crimson
Drybrush - Vallejo Model Color US Dark Green
Drybrush - Vallejo Model Color US Dark Green: Citadel Morghast Bone
Drybrush - Previous Mix: Citadel Ushabti Bone
The tarp was given a basecoat of US Dark Green. I mixed Carroburg Crimson into US Dark Green and painted any shadowed areas to give it some dimension. I then drybrushed the tarp US Dark Green, a mix of US Dark Green and Morghast Bone and finally Ushabti Bone.

Bogwing Flesh Tone and Wing Membrane
Basecoat - Reaper Master Series Rosey Shadow
Shadows - Reaper Master Series Rosey Shadow: Citadel Altdorf Guard Blue
Highlights - Reaper Master Series Rosey Skin
The underbelly and wing membrane of the Bogwing started with a basecoat of Rosey Shadow. I painted the shadows with a mixture of Rosey Shadow and Altdorf Guard Blue and then gave it a highlight of Rosey Skin.
Bogwing Coloring and Patterning
Basecoat - Citadel Caliban Green: Citadel Caledor Sky
Shadows - Previous Mix: Khorne Red
Highlight - Basecoat Mix: Baharroth Blue
For the main coloring of the Bogwing, I decided on a blue-green. I gave it a basecoat consisting of a mix of Caledor Sky and Caliban Green. To shade, I mixed in Khorne Red and applied that to any recesses and shaded areas. I then added Baharroth Blue to my original basecoat mix and highlighted the skin with this mix.
Eyes
Basecoat - Vallejo Model Color Black
Not much to say, I painted the eyes black.
Mouth Interior
Basecoat - Citadel Tuskgor Fur
The interior of the mouth was given an easy paint job. I thinned Tuskgor Fur and painted it inside.
Gonk Droid Body
Basecoat - Citadel Rhinox Hide
Drybrush - Citadel Mournfang Brown
Drybrush - Citadel XV-88
I decided to paint the destroyed Gonk Droid brown. I started with a basecoat of Rhinox Hide and then drybrushed him with Mournfang Brown and XV-88.
Legs
Basecoat - Vallejo Model Color Black Grey
Wash - Citadel Shade Nuln Oil
The Gonk Droid's legs were given a basecoat of Black Grey and then a Nuln Oil wash.
Feet and Metals
Basecoat - Vallejo Model Color Black
Drybrush - Citadel Metallic Iron Warriors
The Feet and other metal bits were painted Black and then drybrushed with Iron Warriors.
Sand
Basecoat - Citadel Zandri Dust Spray Primer
Drybrush - Citadel Karak Stone
Drybrush - Citadel Ushabti Bone
Drybrush - AK Interactive Ivory
The sand base was painted Zandri Dust. I then drybrushed the ground and some parts of the Gonk Droid, Karak Stone, Ushabti Bone and Ivory.
