Marvel Crisis Protocol: 7 Predictions For Ministravaganza 2025

by Quinn Levandoski | Nov 13 2025

Ministravaganza is almost here, and that means the potential for exciting news and reveals for all of AMG’s games, including Marvel Crisis Protocol. The yearly celebratory streaming event has been condensed to just one day, and with no schedule released at the time of this writing, it’s unclear what the focus will be. Less hobbying and more looking ahead? Fewer reveals and just as many painting streams? Only time will tell, but in lieu of concrete info, here are several predictions for what MCP players might see.

Character Card Reveals

It’s virtually guaranteed that AMG will reveal some character cards at Ministravaganza, but which ones seem most likely? A review of the content roadmap from Adepticon, presented in March, appears to offer the best insight. Spectrum and Blue Marvel were initially slated for release in Q4 2025, but with the year approaching close (and AMG largely going quiet for December), they’ll likely be released early in 2026. That being the case, it would make sense for AMG to show off the character card for either one and save the other for January.

Excitingly, these models were announced to be part of a brand-new affiliation, the Mighty Avengers. It’s unclear which model will be the leader or if the leadership will be on-card or via a TTC, but there’s the potential for a Mighty Avengers leadership reveal. Moreover, while the full affiliation list almost definitely won’t be known until close to release, AMG might tease a few inclusions so people know what to expect.

Beyond that, the next few models to release include Kang, Iron Monger, Iron Lad, Rescue, several Guardians of the Galaxy, and a few Asgardians. Initially slated for Q1 2026, it’s unclear exactly when they’ll release, but they're on the table for card reveals.

Insight Into Character Updates, but No Actual Updates

There are two types of character updates that we get from AMG - planned passes that, starting this past year, address models scheduled to be re-packed, and “emergency” nerfs for anything proving overly problematic with the game. We got our last planned balance pass in May, which addressed models on the re-release schedule through the end of 2025 (although some of those repacks have seemingly been delayed to early 2026). Given it’s only been six months, it seems more likely that we’ll get some more insight into which characters are getting looked at than an actual full update release. We may get a vague window (like Q1 or Q2 2026), but it’s also likely that they’re not yet ready to commit to a specific timing window.

We already know that Emma Frost, the Sentinels, Mister Sinister, and She-Hulk are being looked at (though that doesn’t mean they’ll definitely be getting changes). Looking at the other models on the 2026 repack schedule (see above), other likely candidates besides the aforementioned include Cassandra Nova, War Machine, Omega Red, Shadow King, Dark Star, Hulkbuster, and Silver Sable.

Given that actual reworks may come later, it also seems unlikely we’ll get any nerfs. Portions of the community may be waiting on various affiliations, TTCs, or individual characters to be toned down, but AMG almost certainly won’t showcase only nerfs at their annual hype showcase.

Word on TTC Rotation 2.0

Back in mid-2024, AMG shook up the MCP meta by introducing the first large-scale TTC rotation. Not only did this update remove some generically problematic cards, but it also gutted the pool of generic cards (not tied to any specific characters or affiliations). Though a year and a half doesn’t seem like much, the time feels right for another TTC update.

As it stands, several affiliations have access to numerous good affiliation- or character-specific TTCs, so new cards need to be absolutely exceptional to see play. Rotating some (but not all) of the older TTCs to open up breathing room is a great way to give relevance to new releases. Ideally, this rotation can be done with intention and not cripple the affiliations already short on cards. This can also be a way to address some “problematic” TTCs outside of a wider nerf pass. I don’t expect actual rotation at Ministravaganza, but I think AMG may touch on the idea to set up a future update in 2026.

Insight Into the Tolerance Is Extinction Crisis Pack

Though some people have issues with the current set of Standard-legal Crisis Cards as established by the War of Kings pack, the update as a whole has been a resounding success. However, we’re now closer to the next set than we are to the last one. Last year, the new Crisis were made legal for Adepticon in March, though the Tolerance is Extinction set (and accompanied rotation of existing Crises) isn’t scheduled until Q2 (April-June). Even if shipping issues cause delays with the physical box, AMG will likely release the full set as a print-and-play document in that window, which is legal for official play and unaffected by physical logistics.

I certainly don’t expect to see specific Crises revealed this early (that could happen at Adepticon 2026), but it’s possible that AMG speaks to some of the general design philosophies of the set and how it may continue or move away from what was done with War of Kings. Will we see a move away from 17 being so prolific? Are E Secures set to return? Will 16-20 remain the Threat spread?

Moreover, it seems likely that we will get a render of the Sentinel being packed in with the Crisis cards, given we’ve seen models for other characters dropping in Q2.

A Ripple Effect of Delays

It’s no surprise, for several reasons, that several releases through 2025 were delayed (with many parts of the world still waiting on released boxes), and it’s likely that several factors will contribute to those delays continuing through next year’s models. The Foes and Mutant Starter Sets were pushed back from October to December, and Spectrum/Blue Marvel will likely drop in 2026.

A ripple effect from these delays, along with general shipping and manufacturing unpredictability, means a few months with more releases than usual (like we say in October) and a few stretches with nothing new. It shouldn’t be anything concerning, and there’s plenty in the pipeline, but it’s unlikely that 2026 sees a return to predictable bi-monthly drops.

Full Starter Set Contents & Future Set Possibilities

AMG has two incredible Starter Sets scheduled for release in early December. While we’ve seen the included characters, crisis cards, and supplementary items, they’ve yet to reveal which size Crisis Cards will come in each set. Will they match the Earth’s Mightiest Core Set? Will they be tailored to the included affiliations? Time will tell.

Furthermore, when Starter Sets were announced, AMG specified that the X-Men/Brotherhood box would be an evergreen product available in the long term, while the Foes set was a limited-time release. I wouldn’t expect to see details for future starter boxes, but we might get some verbal indications of which other affiliations might join these two as permanent or temporary products.

A Fantastic Tease

I’ve been predicting a Fantastic Four tease at every event for a while now, and I’m not going to stop now. There’s been nothing but radio silence about Marvel’s First Family (and associated characters like Doctor Doom), and while some rights or contract issues may be holding them back, there’s always the chance that they’ll find their way onto the tabletop one of these years. If they are teased, a simple verbal tease or quick on-screen logo would make for a great showstopper to end Ministravaganza 2025.

So, how close will these predictions be? We'll find out on November 15th!
