Hey there, Dear Reader, it's me again - Robert "TheChirurgeon" Jones, CEO of Goonhammer. Regular readers of the site will notice we rolled out a number of changes this week and if you missed those or wanted a full view of what we've been up to, consider this your update - and then some.
All of the stuff we're going to be talking about here are updates for Goonhammer Patrons, some available at the $5 level, and the rest at the $10 level. If you're interested in supporting the site and making more updates like these possible - and more common - head over to Patreon and support us. And if you already support us, thanks - we appreciate it and love making new cool stuff for you.

There's a ton to cover here, from new apps and content to updates to Administratum, so keep scrolling if you want the full download.
Subscriber-Only Content
We launched new content this week for our $10 Subscribers - high-quality, in-depth competitive content, written by
some of the best 40k players in the world. We published our first three articles this week, looking at the state of the meta, how to use Wolf Scouts in games of 40k, and How to master Out-of-Phase Movement, based on a question from our Patrons.
This is just the start of our lineup and we'll be back again this week with a set of new articles looking at more answers to Patron questions and the impact of new Detachments on the meta.
And for our $5 Patrons, we've got regular podcasts - the Goonhammer crew publish about a half dozen podcast episodes per month on our Patreon. This past month on our HAMS Radio podcast we talked about Maelstrom and the Crucible of Champions rules, the new Tzeentch and Lumineth Battletomes, changes with NOVA Leadership, and Trench Crusade. While in the Campaign Trail we covered running ongoing campaigns and in the Other, Other Gamescast we talked about Star Wars Legion, Malediction, Magic, and Hide, Stone, and Bone.
The Data Slate Web App
Data Slate is a collection of tools we've been using internally for some time, now made available to our $10 Patrons. Data Slate includes competitive stats tools, the most powerful list search available anywhere on the internet, and tools for matching paints, showing paint schemes, and showing off your models.
With Dataslate you can quickly and easily get lists for any army. You’ll still need to subscribe to Best Coast Pairings to see lists which weren’t top 4 finishers at GTs, but now you can also go beyond GTs and look at RTTs and Teams events.
Speaking of Teams events, we’ve also got Teams stats, pulling results from teams events run worldwide. Want help building a matrix? Check out our new Team Stats page to see how a given army or detachment performs against every other detachment in the game, with average scoring differential and game counts. You can also enable data for non-Teams events in order to get larger sample sizes.
Hey, we hear you. If you’re a hobbyist, there’s plenty of stuff to love in Dataslate as well! Our Colour Matcher tool – sponsored by the Army Painter – can help you get a matching color for any paint in any range, while the Scheme Annotation Tool can be used to generate paint guide images like the ones in our How to Paint Everything articles. And for showing off your models there’s Display Cabinet, where you can upload photos of your armies, store, and organize them, and link to them in Administratum.
If you’ve ever wanted a better way to store and organize photos of your army, this is it.
Administratum Updates
We've been hard at work on adding new features and support for cool things in Administratum. In the last month, we've added support for a number of cool new things and we're excited to collate them all here so you can see what we've been up to. Codex support is available to our $5 Patrons, but any Patron running a Campaign at the $10 level can make Codex support available to every player in their campaign. Think of it like being the DM and having all the books to lend to your players.
Codex: Thousand Sons
We've added support for the Crusade rules in Codex: Thousand Sons! You can now pick a great Cult for each of the Psykers on your Crusade Roster, track their Arcana and Lore, and chart their progress. In a similar fashion to our World Eaters update, your roster Dashboard will show all of your Sorcerers and their current rank, letting you see who's who at a glance.
You can also manually update your Sorcerers' progress and push them along in their ranks. These updates are manual, but you'll have a good tool for tracking them now and keeping track of all the updates.
Subfactions for Units
We've added support to pick subfactions for units, so you can specify things now like which Chapter, Legion, or Clan your unit belongs to and edit these later. This was a Patron request to clear up some lingering weird issues in the changeover from 9th to 10th edition.
The Crusade Name Generator

One reason we added Subfactions was to power our new Name Generator. Need a quick name that's on-theme for your unit? With our name generator you can quickly generate a random name that's on-theme for your unit's faction and subfaction.
Codex: Drukhari

We're also pumped to announce that we've released our first draft of Codex: Drukhari in Administratum! Possibly the most complicated add-on we've done to-date, this one lets you generate rivals, conquer territory, and build an empire in the shadowy realms of Comorragh. We still have a few things we want to add to this one, but all the basic functionality is done and we're shipping it out.
Tabletop Battles Updates
We've also been working on updates to Tabletop Battles, fixing bugs and adding new missions. In the last month we've added:
- Support for the new Maelstrom and 500 Worlds Detachments
- Support for Asymmetric War Missions from the Chapter Approved 2025-26 Mission Deck
- Support for the Crusade: Armageddon Missions
The mission support here is pretty basic - it's more score entry than tight support for how scoring on each mission works - but we'll be adding deployment maps for Asymmetric battles soon.
What's Next?
Great question! We have a ton more planned for the next month, starting with adding support for Vespator Front campaigns in Administratum - here's a sneak preview of what we're cooking up:
Administratum: Vespator Front

We're building out our biggest Administratum update yet - support for Vespator Front campaigns! Reclaim the 500 worlds with a campaign of your own that supports the map and infrastructure building of the campaign laid out in the 500 Worlds supplement. But not just that - we're building out support so you can build your own systems, with their own planets, infrastructure points, qualities (why not make planets have keywords for your T'au players' campaign rules, for example?), connections, and theatres of war. Expect this one to drop in the next month.
Datasheet Builder
We're also working on a Datasheet builder for players who want to bring the Crucible of Battle rules into their campaigns and build their own characters. Look for this to be added to Administratum and Buttscribe soon for $5 Patrons:
Administratum: Chaos Knights and Imperial Agents
We're working on finishing off the missing pieces of our book support for Crusade rules in 10th, which right now includes the custom chassis mechanics for Chaos Knights and support for the Imperial Agents Codex. Look for those to drop in the next month.
Data Slate: Matrix Builder and TTBA Data
That teams data we've been working on? The logical next step is to use it to build your own Matrices. So in the next few weeks expect us to release this feature, letting you take the teams data we've put together, pick the factions you want to see displayed, and put out a custom matrix you can download and work with for your own teams events.
More Subscriber-Only Content
As I mentioned above, we'll have more subscriber-only written content from the game's best players, including more on Infiltrators, new articles on how to use Transports, detailed answers to our Patrons' best questions (including when and how to put units into reserves), and a look at how new rules will impact the competitive landscape.
And Just In Case You Needed More...
I cannot stress just how much stuff you get for your $10 or even $5 subscription. Not only do you get access to everything mentioned above - hell, you make it possible for us to build this stuff - you also get to remove ads here on Goonhammer (I seriously hate that we have to run these to keep the lights on), plus access to our Discord, early access to ticket sales for our events, and custom features in Administratum and Tabletop Battles like changing your avatar, pregame question checklists, and Forecast Mode, which lets you forecast the outcome of a game without changing it.
Goonhammer is a creator-owned business.
