Content We Liked: 29th June, 2025

by Steel Mentor | Jun 29 2025

Although it’s a big internet out there, the Tabletop digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed.

On the Internet at Large

Alas once more Pride is about to come to a close. So before we LGBTQA*'s crawl back into hibernation for another a year, lets have another fantastic example of using Pride flag colours when painting miniatures. This Dante from u\underachievingazn on Reddit serves as some excellent use of the Pink/White/Blue of the Trans flag, shifted to some darker, richer hues that really make a striking statement.

From the super staturated to the literal complete opposite now with this Blachitsu Necron from somderian on Instagram. This thing is crazy, rocking some seriously 2000AD vibes with the enormous armoured boot and helmet. The mix of biological and mechanical parts owns a hell of a lot too, with that grimy monotone paintjob bringing the whole thing together beautifully.

Khorne Pirates by lordfateweaver via Bluesky

Yarr Booty for the Booty god, Plunder for the Throne of Plunder! We've got a double act of inspired kitbashes up next starting with The Red Tide, a Khornate pirate band for Mordheim. This is such a wild idea for a warband but it works so damn well conceptually and in practice, especially with the mashup of AoS Khorne, Slaves to Darkness and WHFB parts for that Mordheim flavour.

Thorncast Annihilators by thornshield via Bluesky

Speaking of the Mortal Realms, we close out this week's showcase with these Ghyran flavoured Stormcast bigboys. This isn't the first time we've seen Realm-themed Stormcast but this is 100% of the best examples we've seen of it, with the classic use of Sylvaneth weapons and plant parts being complimented by the left field use of Eldar and Hedonite parts to really nail down the graceful, fae look of the Realm of Life. Downright flourishing.

https://dev.tabletopbattles.com/century-of-the-vampire-blade-ii-2002/

Bernhardt's back in the driver's seat and Greg left Blade II spinning in the DVD player, Guillermo del Toro's entry into the series, which proves to be more interesting to look at than actually watch.
