I’ve been following redwetskeleton for a while and they might be the best in the business. Demons should horrify on every level, and that’s what you get here, beautiful and terrible.

Dumb Robot Stuff's Incredible Tankhead Mech

Lest I make the whole thing horrifying shit, it’s worth taking a break to appreciate something we all like - tankhead. Dieselpunk gundam? Is it better than straight up gundam?

It’s not all about weird unsettling, sometimes it’s weird paint methods - watercolours! On miniatures! This is absolutely fantastic, pushing the boundaries of how we paint miniatures out of our comfortable and boring acrylic box

Halbernacht's Executor

This is how you do it. Organic forms mixed with angular, sculptural pieces, jet black gribbliness and beautiful green toned skin, taking the grimdark palette out of oranges and reds and toning it way, way down. Beautiful work.

We’ll finish off with some beautifully depressed trees. I feel a great kinship with them - maybe therapy and upping the fluoxetine will put a rictus grin on those sad little faces.

Battletech

I dont get Battletech, but I love reading the mech reviews. They’re genuinely funny and interesting even if you think battletech is for weirdoes too dishonest to play hex and chit normally. I’d CWL them every week if I could.

Magic the Gathering

40k

The 40k meta seems to be in its Low era, trying out a load of different stuff after a series of insanely good albums/lists. Read wings and lowest of men trying to divine which lists are Sound and Vision and which are Always Crashing in the Same Car.

We’ve decided to subject Goonhammer editor Crionjb to watching a hundred years of vampire movies, presumably because we thought him hammering through my prose wasn’t punishing enough (one subordinate clause! Two subordinate clauses! Three subordinate clauses! Ah ah ah ah ah ah!).

The relentless Shatterpoint and Marvel teams show us how to paint some really weird releases, Drink serving R2D2 and, fittingly, Dracula's Tomb. Maybe we can get a little Crionjb in there.
