The World Eaters are a traitor legion dedicated to the Chaos God Khorne, the god of skulls, blood, and wanton slaughter. Originally one of the first founding legions of space marines, the World Eaters were known for their martial prowess and savagery on the battlefield, throwing themselves at the enemy with reckless abandon. When Horus turned on the imperium the World Eaters were among the first to join his side and as their primarch turned to the worship of Khorne and ascended to daemonhood they lost themselves in the slaughter. Now they continue to ravage the Imperium, bringing carnage and leaving devastation in their wake with unmatched melee prowess.

Faction Overview

The World Eaters specialize in one thing: Melee combat. Getting into melee, fighting in melee, and killing things in melee. They're a relatively uncomplicated faction but that doesn't mean they don't require strategy to play - understanding when to charge and when to hold back is crucial and making the right charges and trades is important to securing victory. That said, there will be plenty of games where you just go first, charge your opponent from across the table, cripple them in melee, and watch as they never recover. It's pretty great.
